Prudential Laos launches PRU Edusmart

A life insurance plan that helps secure your children’s education.

To cater to the growing demand for life insurance protection in Laos, Prudential Laos has launched a new product named “PRU EduSmart”. PRU EduSmart brings specific benefits to families who want to set aside money for their children’s education while making sure the future of their children remain protected. The new product not only builds on the success of Prudential Laos’ PRUlife Protect launched in 2016, it demonstrates the company’s commitment to enhancing its product offering to meet the long-term protection and savings needs of the Lao people.

In the unfortunate event of a death of the insured parent, a PRU EduSmart policy will pay out a guaranteed life insurance benefit* equal to the sum assured, as well as an annual income* to ensure that the child’s education costs are met, while waiving all future premiums meant to be paid for the policy.

In addition, a lump sum benefit* will be paid out on maturity of the policy regardless of whether any insurance benefit has been paid before. This lump sum can be used to fund the child’s further education.

Attracted to the benefits of PRU EduSmart, Mr. Phonevilay Thepvilay, the father of three children has become its first VIP customer prior to the product’s official launch today.

Mr. Phonevilay Thepvilay is the Deputy Head of Insurance Division, the State-Owned Enterprises Investment Management and Insurance Department, The Ministry of Finance, Lao PDR.
